This necklace reminds me of cherries. It is two colors of red light and dark. I love wearing this with a white or black top and gold earrings.

A navy Limited Express knit top I've had for years, Wrangler jeans, simple black lace up shoes, long glass beaded necklace and long dangling silver indian inspired openwork earrings

5. How much do you weigh? 
More than I should but thankfully less than I used to :)

No but I had a henna tattoo on my hand a while back. I have some ideas for large sized henna tattoos for the body.

Six. Three holes in each ear

Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Veronica Mars, Angel, The Pretender, La Femme Nikita, Farscape, Dead Like Me, Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Invader Zim, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Totally Spies, Phil of the Future, Sweet Valley High, VIP (Pamela Anderson's show) and Wild Wild West (Robert Conrad looked incredible in those tight pants)

 I miss my Grandparents who passed away several years ago.

Healthy fruits and vegetables. Also Doritos Nacho cheese chips.

27. Place you want to visit? Paris, Rome, California, Hawaii, any tropical island - this is the mermaid part of me.

Snow Storm

It snowed twice this year. This was crazy. I live where we usually have very mild winters. I definitely think there is something wrong with the ozone layer. Global warming whatever. The weather is not what it used to be. The best thing about the snow was how beautiful it made everything it covered. Winter wonderland.

But I want my nice mild winters back. I know. I know. Can't a girl dream?

Jewelry Collection Organizing

I have a LOT of jewelry. Every once in a while I have to bring back some order to my collection. My method is to pull everything out, sort, and arrange the pieces as neatly as I can. My collections are not meant to be put away and not used. The more organized my jewelry is, the more creative I can be which leads to using the entire collection.  I can not stand watching you tube videos of people with a HUGE amount of makeup or whatever and it is so obvious they don't use all the items - They just want the shopping thrill and attention of talking about possessing the latest trendy whatever.

Brainstorming new ways to wear all jewelry is a must. I will wear a pretty rhinestone pin even if I am not leaving the house.  Layering necklaces and bracelets is another way I get around to my entire accessory collection. Watching a TV show or film always inspires me to shop my collection and wear a necklace a  way I never thought of before. This is one of the reasons I loved watching Charmed,Veronica Mars and Buffy - the accessories the characters wore with their amazing wardrobe.

Necklace of the Day - Indian Necklace Set

Indian necklace, earrings, and head ornament. I DIY the earrings in the upper left hand corner. I took apart part of the head ornament.

This necklace set is one of my most expensive pieces. I was at an Indian cultural festival and fell in love with it. I have always been fascinated with Indian jewelry. It is so colorful, intricate and ornate.

The bell shaped earrings are hard to wear because they are heavy and oversized. As a result I DIYed myself a smaller easier to wear pair of earrings. I hope to be able to buy a lot more Indian jewelry in the future. The hand flowers are one of my favorite types of Indian jewelry.

Cassette of the Day- Patsy Cline Sings Songs of Love 3-16-14

She had such an amazing sounding voice. My favorite song of the moment is Crazy. Yep that is a cassette. Yes I STILL play music on my cassette player. It works just fine and brings back happy music memories.

The other items pictured : Forever 21 mirror compact, a little stone turtle (I LOVE turtles) and a glass atomizer that I fill with water to mist my face to moisturizing my skin and a stone base clock holder that I DIYed into a display for a rhinestone piece .

My Silver Pin/Brooch Collectiion

My silver pins and brooches collection on a satin skirt hung on a door.

I started collecting jewelry years ago and I always loved finding pins and brooches. When I watch old black and white movies, I always look at what accessories the actresses are wearing. They would a lot of the times wear the entire jewelry suite: matching earrings, necklace, pin, and bracelet. I would always be inspired to go thrifting or sometimes buy new pieces and try to put them together like those fascinating moving images of fashion.

Unfortunately, for the past couple of years, it has been very difficult to find  vintage jewelry in thrift shops. People are donoring the pieces less often (selling it themselves)  and when they do donate, the pieces are priced a LOT more expensive and sell very fast. I am so thankful I accumulated all the jewelry when they were easier to find and very inexpensive.

Displaying my jewelry is the same as displaying a piece of art in my home. I also try to make a point to wear a different jewelry item every single day. I do not want to just collect things and let them go unused. That is a waste of time and money. Possessions are to be enjoyed.
