Jewelry Of The Day- Mixing Turquoise Vintage With New Pieces

I just put all my favorite turquoise colored pieces together to make my own custom jewelry set. The flower necklace with the turquoise petals and rhinestone center stone is vintage. The tiny wire and bead drop earrings I've had for years - I got them at a local discount store. The "hand flower" is from Rue 21 recently.

Loved wearing these pieces together. The old mixed with the new to make an entirely new statement. I would have never thought of wearing these together until I thought of the fact that they all have the same color in common.

This is an idea I think I will do more often.

Necklace of the Day - Indian Necklace Set

Indian necklace, earrings, and head ornament. I DIY the earrings in the upper left hand corner. I took apart part of the head ornament.

This necklace set is one of my most expensive pieces. I was at an Indian cultural festival and fell in love with it. I have always been fascinated with Indian jewelry. It is so colorful, intricate and ornate.

The bell shaped earrings are hard to wear because they are heavy and oversized. As a result I DIYed myself a smaller easier to wear pair of earrings. I hope to be able to buy a lot more Indian jewelry in the future. The hand flowers are one of my favorite types of Indian jewelry.
